Chad's Photos
Chad has been photographing various fixed wing aircraft for over 15 years. He
got the aviation bug when he was 14 years old, growing up next to Traverse
City Airport in Michigan. Chad joined the US Navy when he was just 19
years old. During his time in the Navy, he has been on the flight decks
of the USS Kitty Hawk and USS Nimitz, on the high seas, to the runways
of NAS Patuxent River working in the F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet Carrier Suitability
program.
“The
time I have spent in the US Navy has given me many opportunities I wouldn’t
have had as a civilian. Working with the Super Hornet at Pax River is
definitely the highlight of my naval career. As far as photography goes,
there is no place like shooting in the air to air arena. I really enjoy
being up there snapping photos and sharing them with the world. I hope
that my photographs will inspire others to take up a career in aviation.”
Currently: Military Display Coordinator for the National
Cherry Festival Airshow
Past Positions: Photography Editor for Americas Flyways.
